End of an Era (Live!)

The one room schoolhouse, once a common part of educational life, underwent a series of changes, ultimately rendering it obsolete.

What was the student and teacher experience? What were the changes impacting education's infrastructure?

Based on the original articles written by Bob Wood, and adapted for our blog series in May, we invite you to join us and participate in a live roundtable discussion of the topic, led by Bob.

Bob Wood is a historian, published writer and lifelong educator, who taught in the public schools for over 30 years. He is President of our New Hanover Township Historical Society and actively involved in our program content. He was a past board member of the Historical Society of Montgomery County, where he edited their bulletin. And he is also on the Board of Directors of the Goshenhoppen Historians, as well as a contributor to several other local historical and heritage societies.
