Established in 1999, the New Hanover Township Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history, lore, and heritage of New Hanover Township. Headquartered at the restored Swamp Creek Schoolhouse, we serve as a learning destination for historical education, enlightening the public about local heritage through programs, exhibits, and authentic reenactments of nineteenth century school and home life.

Stories and factual accounts of New Hanover Township events spanning from the earliest settlements to more recent issues of interest. Available for purchase ($20 each volume) at the New Hanover Township Building or through the NHTHS. Please contact us for direct sales.
