Established in 1999, the New Hanover Township Historical Society is dedicated to preserving history, lore, and heritage in New Hanover Township. Based at the restored Swamp Creek Schoolhouse and Dengler Family Summer kitchen, we serve as a key destination for historical education, enlightening the public about local heritage through programs, exhibits, and authentic reenactments of nineteenth century school and home life.
